Working as a team is a necessary skill that many students struggle with. A robotics team consists of drivers, programmers, engineers, and team leaders. Everyone has a job to do that relies upon each team member communicating and cooperating with each other toward a common goal. Students learn to value each other's ideas, listen to each other, and be professional towards one another.
Robotic teams compete at local and state competitions where teamwork skills are necessary. The team has to present a research project where they have to solve a real world problem. As a team they present their robot, engineering process, and robot abilities to a panel of judges. In addition, they compete in front of a live audience to see how many missions they can complete in 2.5 minutes. This is an unforgettable experience that we currently offer in NC, SC, and VA.
